Optics Update: 12/06/02
Time Warner will be
performing fiber maintenance to complete the protected
path on Verio#1. There will be a brief outage as routes
re-converge.
Memory Upgrade - Feb 12, 2003
We will be upgrading
and increasing the memory on Cassiopeia.
In order
to accomplish this, we will need to take the server offline
for a short period. We apologize for any inconvenience,
but this will increase server performance.

There has been a global disturbance in the Internet due
to a worm exploiting MS SQL servers with poor security...
Early indications are that compromised MS SQL servers
are sending out streams of UDP to port 1434. Although
these packets themselves appear harmless, all of this
traffic combined to deliver a crippling blow to the largest
tier-1 backbone providers.
In an attempt to be part of the solution, we have stopped
the egress of UDP 1434 from the Tele-Connection network...
Until this issue is resolved you should expect higher
than normal latency and loss when traversing the Internet.
The Tele-Connection internal network is not directly affected.

responce times to our servers.

30, 2002 between 3 AM and 6 AM CST (UTC –6).
Subnets that route through 207.218.223.38 will experience
a brief outage (<10 minutes) during this maintenance
window. Some latency may occur as traffic re-converges.
Thursday November 14, 2002 between 5 am and 7
am. We will be performing emergency router maintenance
We expect 2 brief outages while traffic re-routes.
Scheduled Server Maintenance - 11/9 - 11/10 2002 (Complete)
We will be upgrading and running server
maintenance on Telecon2 starting at 3AM EST to 6AM EST
the 26th and 27th. You should not experience any downtime.
This is a necessary upgrade to provide you with a secure
web environment.

Time Warner links Tuesday monning, 11/05/2002 between
2:00 am and 6:00 am CST.
We expect a brief
outage while traffic re-routes.
Network Status - 11/3/2002 -(resolved)
Slightly
before noon CST, a large volume of inbound DOS traffic
consumed much of our inbound traffic across several links.
This degraded state lasted one hourr.
Scheduled Server Maintenance - 10/26 - 10/27 2002
